Incredibly sad sad news, Bob Birch has died. He was found at his home today (Wednesday) with a gun shot wound in an apparent suicide. All our thoughts are with Bob’s family and friends and Elton and the band.

Terrible, terrible news. The Elton community is reeling from this I’m sure.
None of us claim to know Elton or the band beyond their stage personas but the shock comes when you realise exactly how little you do know. He must really have been suffering.
It’s too early to see what the repercussions of this might be but they might be quite significant.
Very sad news indeed. He must have been in such despair. This will be very hard for his family and friends to come to terms with.
@eleanor I think you maybe right about the repercussions- Elton may feel enough is enough after the untimely deaths of Guy and now Bob and decide to focus on his family. These things can certainly bring home what’s really important.
